                                Petre Mamara

                                eProduction Manager

Petre Mamara was born in Romania, eight years after the end of the Second World War. He grew up in the picturesque Şuşiţa Valley, south of the Vâlcan’s Mountains in south-west Romania, and was educated at the local school of his native village of Curpen in the Gorj District. He left at fifteen, when he went to Galaţi, in the eastern part of Romania, for an apprenticeship in electrotechnology.

As he qualified as an electrical engineer, he attended evening classes at a continuing education institute, enrolled in the baccalaureate curriculum. Petre had always been interested in literature and so kept writing poems and essays, one of which — on George Coşbuc’ s poetry — won him a literary prize. In 1974 he married and settled in Bucharest, but six years later he left with his wife for Australia where he has lived ever since. Unfortunately, a spinal cord injury made him disabled in 2000, but Petre did not give in: he fought back, emotionally, going on with his work as a poet (some of his works are available at the Library of Congress) and translating Mihail Eminescu’s poems into English. However, in June 2003, he had the misfortune of loosing his wife, who died of breast cancer, and now lives alone with his dog and his cat in a north-eastern suburb of Melbourne and collaborates with Globusz in editing and publishing its Romanian pages.

                                Stefan A. Motz

                                CEO and PRESIDENT

                                           Globusz International

Stefan’s love for books, and his vast experience as a web designer, journalist and linguist, along with his highly developed knowledge of business and the legal profession, prepared him well for the tasks and challenges of Globusz Publishing, which he established in May 2001. Since formulating his vision for Globusz and building the business from the ground up, Stefan has engaged a team of professionals with the skills needed to, not only perform the many operational functions, but to share his vision and commitment. People with the same level of determination and drive as himself; the qualities needed to make Globusz a world leader in online publishing.

Stefan’s earlier professional endeavours include an acclaimed period as a Science and English teacher in Debrecen, Hungary. He also distinguished himself, as a researcher, at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, where he did some impressive work on Romany syntax. His Romany dictionary won him peer respect, as did his work on psycholinguistic and socio-linguistics.

By combining all his professional knowledge and experience, Stefan has laid strong foundations for his Globusz business, and although rather modest by nature, he does admit he has big things planned for Globusz. Stefan has no doubt that he and and his team will build an online publishing business that will surpass any model that exists today. With deep sincerity, and a gleam in his eye, he adds, ‘and we’re almost there.’

NOTE: Stefan also spent several years designing advanced computing systems. He holds a degree from University of Debrecen. He has worked for the Department of Linguistics at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences researching the Gypsy language and culture. Besides his mother tongue he speaks Hungarian, German, Romanian, Beash and Spanish. Today he lives in Newark, New Jersey.

Our team is dedicated to world’s best practice service. We have two primary goals: the first is to be the best e-book publishing house on the internet. The second is, to deliver great service to authors and readers. We can confidently state that we have almost reached both of these goals. We’re on the right pathway, and success is clearly in sight. But we also know that as soon as we reach our goals it will be time to make more changes, and start the hard work all over again. That’s the interesting thing about quality and service. There is no point at which business operators can say,;‘Well that’s it; we’re there. There’s nothing else to do.’ Why? Because quality and service are a continuous improvement thing. And that’s why Globusz is committed to examining every aspect of its service; to finding better ways of doing things. For our business, for our people and more importantly for our customers: authors and readers alike.

Anything less than best is just not good enough.
